Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz linguine
  • 1 lb mussels, cleaned and debearded
  • 12 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for 1-2 minutes.
  • Add shrimp to the skillet, cooking 2-3 minutes on each side until pink. Remove and set aside.
  • Add mussels to the same skillet with  broth, cover, and cook for 5 minutes until mussels open. Discard any that do not open.
  • Add cherry tomatoes and cook for 2-3 minutes until softened. Stir in heavy cream and lemon juice. Simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  • Return shrimp to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and add cooked linguine. Toss to coat everything in the sauce.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and basil. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use coconut milk instead of heavy cream for a dairy-free option.
  • Serve with crusty garlic bread or a side salad for a complete meal.
  • For extra heat, increase the amount of red pepper flakes.
