Description

Red Snapper in a Velvety Lemon Cream Sauce is a quick and easy dish that combines flaky red snapper with a rich, tangy lemon cream sauce. Perfect for weeknights or a special dinner. Ready in just 25 minutes, this recipe brings together the zesty freshness of lemon with the smoothness of cream, creating an unforgettable flavor combination. Garnished with fresh dill, this dish is as elegant as it is simple to make.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 red snapper fillets
  • 1 cup heavy cream (or Greek yogurt for a lighter option)
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh dill for garnish

Instructions

  • Season the red snapper fillets with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the snapper fillets and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, until the fish is golden brown and flakes easily with a fork. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Pour in lemon juice and let it simmer for 1 minute.
  • Add the heavy cream (or Greek yogurt) and simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring until the sauce thickens.
  • Return the cooked snapper to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the fish.
  • Garnish with fresh dill and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a lighter option, substitute heavy cream with Greek yogurt.
  • Fresh red snapper works best, but frozen fillets can be used if thawed completely.
  • Garnish with a lemon slice for an extra burst of freshness.
  • Pair with rice or roasted vegetables to make it a complete meal.
