Ingredients

Scale

Marinade:

  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 tsp black pepper

Herb Butter:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives, chopped
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Steaks:

  • 4 T-bone steaks
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Prepare the Marinade: Whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic, rosemary, thyme, and black pepper in a bowl.
  • Marinate the Steaks: Place the steaks in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steaks, ensuring they’re fully coated. Seal and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for the best flavor.
  • Make the Herb Butter: In a small bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, chives, lemon zest, salt, and pepper. Shape into a log, wrap in plastic, and refrigerate until firm.
  • Preheat the Grill: Heat your grill to high to get a nice sear on the steaks.
  • Grill the Steaks: Remove the steaks from the marinade, pat them dry, and season with salt and pepper. Grill for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or adjust the time to your preferred doneness.
  • Serve with Herb Butter: Let the steaks rest for 5 minutes, then top with slices of the herb butter right before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

  • For even cooking, let the steaks come to room temperature before grilling.
  • Leftover steak can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days and used in sandwiches or salads.
  • Herb butter can be made in advance and stored in the fridge for up to a week or frozen for longer.
