Description

This Filet Mignon with Creamy Parmesan Mustard Sauce is a restaurant-quality meal you can easily whip up in just 25 minutes. Perfectly seared filet mignon is topped with a rich, velvety sauce made from Parmesan, Dijon mustard, and heavy cream. The perfect blend of savory, creamy, and tangy flavors, this dish is ideal for special occasions or an indulgent weeknight dinner. Quick, simple, and absolutely delicious!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 filet mignon steaks (6 oz each)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp whole grain mustard
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Season the filet mignon steaks generously with salt and pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes per side, depending on desired doneness. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add butter and minced garlic, cooking for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, Dijon mustard, whole grain mustard, and paprika. Whisk the sauce and cook until it thickens (3-4 minutes).
  • Return the steaks to the skillet, spooning sauce over the top. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust cooking time based on steak thickness and preferred doneness.
  • For a milder mustard flavor, reduce the amount of Dijon or whole grain mustard.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
